Service Outage (UK National Health Service Customers Only) – Date to be Confirmed – Essential HSCN Network Upgrade

The service outage only affects customers on the UK National Health Service HSCN network.

The planned maintenance to the HSCN Network on 26th August was unsuccessful, and Checkit's monitoring services were restored. We will resume this work on a future date to be confirmed. We will update customers via email as soon as possible.

Product: Connected Automated Monitoring+

Release date: To be confirmed

Overview

Due to an overhaul of the HSCN network by British Telecommunications (BT), Checkit will be upgrading its network infrastructure at our Gosport datacenter.

This upgrade is necessary to accommodate changes introduced by BT and will involve migrating our HSCN Firewalls to a new firewall, delivering improved performance and enhanced security.

Downtime

There will be an outage of no more than 60 minutes. Exact date to be confirmed.

Services Affected

During the outage:

  • Sensor readings will not be sent to the CAM+ Website, they will be stored locally on the WARP

  • Alarms & alerts will not be sent via call, email, or SMS

We recommend you view sensor readings and alarms on the WARP display panel.

After the outage:

  • Sensor readings will be sent automatically from the WARP to the CAM+ Website

  • If any alarms occurred during the outage, contacts will receive a notification

Backout Plan

Should any issues arise, we will revert back to the previous firewalls.
