Cold Sensor & Hot Sensor Troubleshooting

Follow the instructions below if you receive a service alert indicating that a Cold Sensor or Hot Sensor is offline.

  1. Locate the sensor on site.

  2. Ensure that the sensor has not been removed from its mounting clip.

  3. Ensure that the Hub (and Repeater, if applicable) has not been moved or disconnected from the mains power supply.

  4. Ensure that items are not obstructing the signal between the sensor and Hub (or Repeater if applicable).

  5. Place a Magnetic Tag on the bottom-left corner of the sensor and hold it there for about 3 seconds. During this time, the Mode LED (bottom centre) should flash green, then amber. Remove the Magnetic Tag after this sequence completes.

The Magnetic Tag is a small white magnet (see image 3).

Caution: The Magnetic Tag may interfere with pacemakers and implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs). Keep the tag at a safe distance from such devices

If you do not see any LEDs when you press the Magnetic Tag, the sensor battery may be dead (in which case you will have previously received a low battery alert) or the sensor may have been damaged. Contact us for a replacement.

  1. After removing the Magnetic Tag, check the Health LED (top-right corner):

    • Green: The issue is resolved.

    • Amber: The issue is resolved.

    • Amber flashing: Repeat steps 4–6 until the Health LED shows a green or amber pulse.

    • Red: Repeat steps 4–6 until the Health LED shows a green or amber pulse.

    • Red flash: The battery is low. Contact us to request a replacement.

    • No LED: Contact us for assistance.
