Customise Your Data

The Data API allows you to extract your operational data using a token and import them into Power BI Desktop so you can customise your data metrics.

Power BI Desktop is only available on Windows.

You must be an Administrator or Supervisor to use the Data API.

Step 1: Get the Token

Follow the steps below to extract your operational data.

This token will expire after 1 month.

1. Log in to the Control Centre.

2. Go to Reports>Operational Insight.

3. Click API Setup on the top right of the screen.

4. Click Generate a new token.

5. Enter your Control Centre password.

6. Click Generate a new token.

7. Click the copy icon to the right of the token.

8. Click Download Checkit Power BI Template.

Step 2: Import Data into Power BI

Follow the steps below to import your Checkit data into Power BI Desktop.

1. Download Power BI Desktop here (if applicable).

2. Open the Checkit Power BI template from your files browser.

3. Past the token you copied in step 7 above into the authKey field

4. Enter the number of weeks you want to load data on in the lastXWeeks field.

5. Click Load.
