Repeaters have 3 LEDs that indicate their status: Alert LED, Health LED, Mode LED.
The Health and Mode LEDs do not illuminate unless you press a magnetic tag (see image 1) on bottom left-corner of the device for 3 seconds.
Caution: The Magnetic Tag may interfere with pacemakers and implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs). Keep the tag at a safe distance from such devices
