Remove a Sensor

You can remove a sensor if you want to disconnect the device from the Hub and permanently delete all its data.

You must be an Administrator to remove a sensor. See User Roles for more details.

If you remove a sensor, all historical data that the sensor has recorded will be permanently deleted.

Do not remove a sensor unless instructed to do so by Checkit.

You cannot reuse a sensor after it has been removed.

This action is irreversible.

If you want to disconnect the sensor and retain its data, see Archive a Sensor.

If you want to replace a sealed sensor with another one, see Replace a Sealed Sensor.

  1. Log in to the Control Centre.

  2. Go to Automated Monitoring Devices >View/Edit.

  3. Select the Hub you want to remove the sensor from.

  4. Click Maintenance.

  5. Click the 3 vertical dots on the sensor you want to remove.

  6. Click Remove Device.

  7. Click Remove.

  8. Press a magnetic tag on the bottom left corner of the sealed sensor/power unit battery as applicable for approximately 3 seconds. You will see a flashing green Mode LED. When the Mode LED turns flashing

Tagging a sealed sensor

The magnet tag could interfere with heart pacemakers and implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs).

If you do not want to use a magnetic tag or you do not have one to hand, you can skip steps 8 and 9 and manually confirm the device instead.

To do so, click Manually confirm device, then enter the last 4 digits of the serial number on the back of the sensor.

The serial number is located on the back of the sensor in the following format: S/N: 0000-0000-0000-0000.

  1. You will see a warning on screen stating that ‘this operation cannot be undone once completed’. Click the right arrow to continue.

  2. You will see a message on screen stating that ‘the device has been removed’. Click the right arrow, then click the Checkit icon at the top-centre of the screen to return to the homepage.
