Remove a Sensor

You can remove a sensor if you want to disconnect the device from the Hub and permanently delete all its data.

You must be an Administrator to remove a sensor. See User Roles for more details.

If you remove a sensor, all historical data that the sensor has recorded will be permanently deleted.

Do not remove a sensor unless instructed to do so by Checkit.

You cannot reuse a sensor after it has been removed.

This action is irreversible.

If you want to:

  1. Log in to the Control Centre.

  2. Go to Automated Monitoring Devices >View/Edit.

  3. Select the Hub you want to remove the sensor from.

  4. Click Maintenance.

  5. Click the 3 vertical dots on the sensor you want to remove.

  6. Click Remove Device.

  7. Click Remove.

  8. Place the Magnetic Tag on the bottom-left corner of the sensor and hold it there for about 3 seconds. During this time, the Mode LED should flash green, then amber. Remove the Magnetic Tag after this sequence completes.

The Magnetic Tag is a small white magnet (see image 1).

Caution: The Magnetic Tag may interfere with pacemakers and implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs). Keep the tag at a safe distance from such devices

If you do not have the sensor to hand, you can skip steps 8 and 9 and manually confirm the device instead.

To do so, click Manually confirm device, then enter the last 4 digits of the device serial number.

  1. Click the right arrow to continue. You will see a message on screen stating 'Device identified'. Click the right arrow again to continue.

  2. You will see a warning on screen stating that ‘this operation cannot be undone once completed’. Click the right arrow to continue.

  3. You will see a message on screen stating that ‘the device has been removed’. Click the right arrow, then click the Checkit icon at the top-centre of the screen to return to the homepage.
