Reuse a Sensor
You can reuse a sensor if you want to move it from one piece of equipment to another.
If you do so, historical data will be archived and you can reinstall the sensor.
You must be an Administrator to reuse a sensor. See User Roles for more details.
If you want to disconnect a sensor from one Hub and connect it to another, see Move a Sensor.
This action is irreversible.
The magnet tag could interfere with heart pacemakers and implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs).
If you do not want to use a magnetic tag or you do not have one to hand, you can skip steps 8 and 9 and manually confirm the device instead.
To do so, click Manually confirm device, then enter the last 4 digits of the serial number on the back of the sensor.
The serial number is located on the back of the sensor in the following format: S/N: 0000-0000-0000-0000.
You will see a message stating that the word ‘Archived’ will be added to the sensor name. Click the right arrow to continue.
You will see a warning stating that ‘this operation cannot be undone once completed’. Click the right arrow to continue.
You will see a warning stating that ‘the device has been archived and is ready to be reused’. Click the right arrow, then click the Checkit icon at the top-centre of the screen to return to the homepage.
Reinstall the sensor on the desired Hub. See Install a sensor for instructions.
