Allocate a Contact to a Contact List

You can allocate a contact to a contact list if you want them to receive alarm/alert notifications.

Please ensure that contact lists contain at least 4 contacts to avoid alarms/alerts going unanswered. You can add up to 10 contacts to a contact list.

You must be have the Manage Contacts permission enabled to allocate a contact to a contact list. See View/Edit Your User Profile to check which permissions you have enabled.

A contact can be allocated to multiple contact lists. For example, Fatima may be allocated to the ‘Non-Working Hours’ contact list and the ‘Weekends’ contact list.

  2. Click the contacts icon on the relevant site.

  3. Click Manage Alarm Contacts.

  4. Click Allocate Contact Names. You will see a list of sensor groups, for example, Haematology Department Cold Storage Sensors, Pathology Department Incubation Room Sensors, etc.

  5. Click the contact list icon on the relevant sensor group. You will see a list of contact lists, for example, Working Hours, Non-Working Hours, Weekends, Public Holidays, etc.

The contact list will display information including: name, description, list type, start time, end time, start date (if applicable), end date (if applicable), EDA (indicating whether alarm notifications on the Checkit app are enabled/disabled).

  2. Click View Available Alarm Contacts.

  3. Find the contact you want to add in the Inactive Alarm Contacts list.

If you cannot find the contact you want to allocate, their details are not currently registered on the CAM+ website. See Create a Contact for instructions on how to register them.

You cannot check a box if the corresponding information is missing. For example, you can't check the email box if no email address is registered. See Modify a Contact to add information.

Ensure that SMS/email only contacts are located at the bottom of the list.

  1. (If applicable) Use the up/down arrow on a contact to adjust the order of the the call list as necessary.

  2. Click Update.

Video 1: Allocate a contact to a contact list

In the event of an alarm, we will call applicable contacts on the contact list one by one starting from the top of the list until someone accepts (i.e. takes responsibility for) the alarm. We will try this method first. If nobody accepts the alarm, we will send an SMS message and email simultaneously to all applicable contacts.

In the event of an alert, we will send an SMS message and email simultaneously to all applicable contacts.
