Types of Alarms & Alerts

There are 2 types of alarms and 1 type of alert:

  • Sensor alarms: triggered if a sensor goes out of range (e.g. temperature range, humidity range, etc.)

  • Sensor alerts (optional feature): a warning that a sensor may be about to go out of range

  • System alarms: triggered if a piece of Checkit equipment requires attention, such as reconnecting a device to the AC power supply, replacing a battery, etc

Click on the links for more details.

  • Alarms triggered by sensors (e.g. high temperature, low humidity, transmitter offline, probe failure, etc.) require an incident audit.

  • Alarms triggered by signal repeaters and the WARP do not require an incident audit.

  • Alerts do not require an incident audit.
