SenseFlex Range: Replace a Sensor

Follow these instructions if a sensor is lost or a tile sensor has low battery.

When you replace a sensor, the sensor's data record, name, and assigned rule and team remain unchanged. Only the physical hardware is replaced.

You can replace the batteries in a PT1000 Sensor if it is low.

  1. Log in to the Control Centre

  2. Go to Devices > Maintenance.

  3. Select the location of the sensor you want to replace, then click Continue.

  4. Click on the sensor that you want to replace.

  5. Make a note of the serial number on screen.

  6. Click the 3 vertical dots on the sensor you want to replace.

  7. Click Swap Device.

  8. (If applicable) If you are replacing a Temperature Tile Sensor, touch the old sensor to activate it.

If you do not have the sensor to hand, you can skip step 8 and manually confirm the device instead.

To do so, click Manually confirm device, then enter the last 4 digits of the serial number that you noted down in step 5.

  1. Click the right arrow to continue.

  2. Check the information on screen to confirm that you are replacing the correct device, then click the right arrow to continue.

  3. Scan the QR code on the new sensor.

  4. (If applicable) If you are replacing a Temperature Tile Sensor, touch the new sensor to activate it, then click the right arrow to continue.

  5. Check that the sensor information on the screen is correct, then click the right arrow to continue.

  6. (If applicable) If you are replacing a Temperature Tile Sensor, touch the new sensor to activate it. You will see the signal strength on screen, then click the right arrow to continue.

If the signal is poor or marginal, move the sensor closer to the Cloud Connector/ ensure the signal is not obstructed by items.

  1. Remove the old sensor by carefully pulling it from the surface to which it is attached.

  2. Ensure that the surface is clean and dry.

  3. Fix the new sensor in place using the adhesive strip on the back of the device.
