SenseFlex Range: Sensor Readings

Frequency

Sensors take readings and send them to the Control Centre at configured intervals.

PT 1000 Sensors

PT 1000 Sensors may be configured to:

  • Take readings at 1, 2, 3, 5, 10, 15, or 30-minute intervals

  • Send these readings to the Control Centre at 5, 15, 30, 45, or 60-minute intervals

Temperature Tile Sensors

Temperature Tile Sensors may be configured to:

  • Take readings at 1, 3, 5, or 15-minute intervals

  • Send these readings to the Control Centre at 5, 15, 30, 45, or 60-minute intervals

See View/Edit Reporting Frequency to view/modify how often a sensor takes a reading and sends these readings to the Control Centre.

Out-of-Range Sensor Readings

Each sensor has a rule: an acceptable range, including a maximum and minimum limit and an alert delay period.

For example, a temperature sensor may be configured to trigger an alarm if it exceeds 4°C or falls below 1°C for more than 1 hour.

If a sensor takes a reading that contravenes the rule assigned to it, the following people will be notified via a sensor alert so they can take appropriate action:

  • Supervisors in the team assigned to the sensor

  • Safety Managers at the location assigned to the sensor

To find out which location, rule, and team are assigned to a sensor, see View Your Monitoring Configuration.
